Sindrani

When Sindrani’s uncle gives her a miniature handmade boat as a present it ignites her love for the sea and sets her on an exciting adventure. Sindrani's ship nearly crashes on a rocky beach. She then embarks on another adventure, to release the king from his prison, and saves the island from burning.

Discussion:
* Ask the child about a relative who inspired him/her and left an impression on him/her.
* Mention a present that made you very happy and explain why.
* Name a female character in your family or someone you read about that inspired you?
* How did the cooperation and teamwork between Sindrani and the sailors create a force to be reckoned with that contributed to saving the king and the island?
* Describe an incident in which you worked with your friends or family to solve it.
* How did the cooperation with the sea monsters and the king's soldiers contribute to extinguishing the island fire? Can you imagine more sea monsters? What powers will these monsters have? Write about them and draw them.
* What is the meaning of an Anaconda? And why was the king called by that name? Does this name frighten children?
* Through this story, we aim to develop the child's knowledge of the sea and its terminology, such as ship, mast, mainsail, anchor, diving, torch, etc… and how can we help him/her do so?
