A perfect story for young readers that highlights the ups and downs of sibling relationships and the power of family bonds.

The relationship between an older and a younger sibling is a complicated one, highlighted by conflicting feelings. On the one hand, the older sibling is expected to love and help the younger one and does have feelings of protectiveness, pride and affection. On the other hand, he/she has also to deal with negative, guilt inducing feelings such as jealousy , impatience and anger to feelings of pride, protectiveness, and care for the younger sibling. Acknowledging these feeling through a story gives children the chance to express their mixed feelings about their younger siblings. In this story, Jude comes to the realization that Zaid’s annoying behavior is his way of telling her that he loves her and wants to play with her.
